André Esteves is the Chairman & CEO of BTG Pactual. Mr. Esteves joined in 1989 the then called Banco Pactual S.A. and 4 years later was made a partner. In 1995 he became the Head of the Fixed Income Department of the bank.
During the time UBS A.G. has controlled Pactual, Mr. Esteves firstly acted as CEO of UBS Pactual and later as the Global Head of FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities) of UBS AG.. Having found BTG at the end of 2008, he has formed BTG Pactual in 2009 with the repurchase of Banco Pactual S.A..
Mr. Esteves holds a BS in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He currently serves as a board member in a range of leading institutions including BM&FBovespa (Brazilian Stock, Futures and Commodities Exchange), FEBRABAN (Federation of Brazilian Banks), Latin American Board of Harvard Business School, Fundação Estudar, and Conservation International (CI).
Persio Arida is a member of the Board of Directors of BTG Pactual. He is based in São Paulo.
Prior to joining BTG Pactual, Mr. Arida was Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil and President of the National Economic and Social Development Bank (BNDES). In the private sector, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Itaú, Vale, Unibanco and Sul América, among others.
Mr. Arida has a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and has published several papers in specialized journals. He was a Professor at the University of São Paulo and at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, and has held research appointments at the Institute for Advanced Studies (Princeton), the Smithsonian Institution (Washington), and the Centre for Brazilian Studies (Oxford). He is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the Blavatnik School of Government (Oxford), a member of the Corporate Development Committee of MIT and the Advisory Committee of the IMF.
Garcia Canizares, Juan
Juan Carlos García Canizares is based in New York and serves as an Managing Director of Quadrant Capital Advisors, where he is the Head of the Strategic Investment Group, responsible for capital allocation in the energy, infrastructure, financial markets and consumer goods areas worldwide.
Mr. Garcia Canizares began his career in 1992 as a co-founder and Senior Partner of Estrategias Corporativas S.A., an M&A and strategic consulting firm focused on Latin America, where he executed over USD2 billion in mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructuring in the region. In 2000, he began working as the Vice-Strategy and Planning Officer at the brewery Bavaria S.A., having participated in international capital market transactions. He also headed a USD3 billion international acquisition program that allowed Bavaria to become the world’s 10th largest brewery. Additionally, he headed the merger of Bavaria with SABMiller PLC, which created the world’s second largest brewery at the time. Mr. Garcia Canizares has been a member of the Boards of Directors of other companies and non-governmental institutions in the U.S. and Latin America, and is currently a Board member in Colombia (Bavaria, Valorem, Banco CorpBanca and Integral Oil Services), Peru (Backus & Johnston) and in the U.S. (Genesis Foundation).
Mr. Garcia Canizares completed an MBA program in business administration jointly granted by New York University's Stern School of Business, the London School of Economics and the Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the Javeriana University, in Colombia.
Galeazzi, Claudio is a Board member. Mr. Galeazzi is based in São Paulo.
Mr. Galeazzi joined BTG Pactual in August 2010 as a partner. He developed a solid career in consulting, restructuring, turnaround, interim management and managing well known companies in the real economy. He held senior position in several companies such as Commercial VP of British Petroleum mining company in Brazil, CEO of following companies: Cia Estanifera do Brasil (CESBRA), Vila Romana and VR, Laticineos MOCOCA, ARTEX, LOJAS AMERICANAS, SENDAS, CBD (Grupo Pão de Açucar) and CEO of CECRISA.
Mr. Galeazzi is a Certified Public Accountant. He served as President of the Conselho Nacional do SESI during 5 years in Brasilia, Director of Instituto Euvaldo Lodi, Director of FIESP (Federação das Industrias de SP), Vice President of ANFAC (Associação Nacional de Factoring), is currently a director of MAM (Museu de Arte Moderna de SP). Served as Board Member and consultant of several companies and is the founder of Galeazzi Associados.
Hausman, Jonathan Michael
Huw Jenkins is a founding partner and International Chairman of BTG Pactual based in London. He is a Managing Partner of the firm as well as a member of the Global Management Committee and a member of the group board.
Mr. Jenkins joined BTG as a partner in 2008. Prior to BTG he held several positions at UBS AG, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Global Head of Equities, Head of Equities for the Americas and Head of Asia-Pacific Equities. Prior to joining UBS AG, he worked at BZW Investment Management and Hill Samuel. Mr. Jenkins has spent most of his career based in Asia and the United States.
Mr. Jenkins received his bachelor’s degree with honors in sociology and psychology from the University of Liverpool, his MBA from the London Business School and has recently participated in the Executives in Residence program at the London Business School.
Marcelo Kalim is Board member, statutory Director and Chief Financial Officer of BTG Pactual. Mr Kalim is based in São Paulo.
Mr. Kalim joined Pactual in 1996 and became a partner in 1998. He began his career at Pactual as a Fixed-Income Trader. He was Co-Head of Pactual Asset Management and Chief Investment Officer at UBS Pactual. Mr Kalim left UBS Pactual to join BTG in 2008.
Mr. Kalim holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School and received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of São Paulo.

Oros, John Joseph
John Joseph Oros is a member of the board of directors of Banco BTG Pactual. Mr. Oros is a managing director of J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC, a private equity firm based in New York, which he joined in 2000.
From 1980 to 2000, Mr. Oros was an investment banker in the financial institutions group of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he became a general partner in 1986. Between 1978 and 1980, Mr. Oros worked for Merrill Lynch as manager of the finance and mortgage division.
Mr. Oros also serves as a director and executive officer of various entities, including OneWest Bank, Saddle River Valley Bank and Flowers National Bank. Mr. Oros was appointed and served as Committee Chairman of the Federal Savings and Loan Advisory Council. Mr. Oros received his bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Wisconsin Business School.
Roberto Sallouti is Board member, statutory Director and Chief Executive Officer of Asset Management at BTG Pactual. Mr. Sallouti is based in Sao Paulo.
Mr. Sallouti joined Banco Pactual in 1994 and became a partner in 1998. He was Co-Head of the Brazil Fixed Income Desk, and Head of International Fixed Income Desk. Mr. Sallouti served as a managing director of UBS Pactual and he was co-head of emerging markets fixed income at UBS.Mr Sallouti left UBS Pactual to join BTG in 2008.
Mr. Sallouti received his bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
