Blowing the Whistle on
Crimes and Frauds

BTG Pactual encourages its employees and any third parties to blow the whistle on any attitude or suspicion of criminal and/or fraudulent action of which they are aware. As such, we offer direct, safe and confidential channels for reporting these matters:

Crime is the conduct (action or omission) that penal law describes and prohibits and to which it attributes a punishment since it constitutes an offense (damage or danger) to an individual or collective legal property/asset. In other words, it is, by definition, the typical, illegal and culpable fact described in law.

Fraud, broadly speaking, is an action and/or behavior that, since it is dishonest and deceitful, has the intention to trick or deceive somebody.

In Penal Law, fraud is the crime or offense of deliberately deceiving others with the aim of prejudicing them, usually to obtain property or services unjustly. Said crime can also be carried out via falsification.
